Becca Mhalek will return for this Dazzle appearance as well as numerous tour dates. Becca plays alto and baritone sax and plays them well…(she is a badass). Becca is best known for performances with Nels Cline, Wilco, Nightshark, Ron Miles, Mike Watt, Skerik, among others.

Prepare yourself for a long lasting memory at Dazzle Jazz Lounge….also try the cocktail shrimp. Really good.

If you are not familiar with prepared guitarist Janet Feder, then you are in for a real treat with this event. Having recently recorded with Janet, we are well aware of her talents, but to experience them live is an entirely different manimal. Don’t let yourself become confused by yourself. Do yourself a favor from yourself and come to this event. Janet achieves audio mastery with new guitar sounds you have to hear to believe.

Nervesandgel hit the scene only recently, but thus far we love every second of this planar pop satire, electrical in composition, parallel in universal components, but inspirational and unconventionally intelligent to say the least. Come witness this band’s raw power.

It is our understanding that Bocumast Records will have some new shit available to people that want to contribute just a little bit of cash moneys to the cause…buttons, tees, drop cards, stickers, and more. So please come share in the music and the schwag.

Tentatively titled Thermal Insulation, our second full length album is set to drop in May, 2010 in limited digital release. Vinyl release details to follow.

anecdotal:
some remain to stay, birth forth into grays, milk set eyes devoured, palms sliced beyond recognition. grungy cold bashful seekers control warming lanterns and tug at the solid motions of animals. containers full of hard wax attracting seeds and stems forming branches like masts of an aging tilt. hems lined with acorns, glued tightly in their nestled chairs for scathing picture shows of bon fires. thrust forth your tired arms and legs bring your shoulders into the wind.

Janet Feder

Hello aenks and aenkettes.

With an on-going idea, previously dubbed “aenka sessions,” aenka will be recording with Janet Feder (bottesini project, frith/feder…)next week. The first session was recorded with bassist Kirwan Brown. The band has plans to add a few more to the mix before releasing these sessions on Bocumast Records sometime this summer. Stay tuned for more details…and maybe even some free samples.
